Description
'I don't get people. What's their appeal, precisely? They waddle around with their haircuts on, cluttering the pavement like gormless, farting skittles. They're awful.'
Polite, pensive, mature, reserved... Charlie Brooker is none of these things and less. Picking up where his hilarious Screen Burn left off, Dawn of the Dumb collects the best of Brooker's recent TV writing, together with uproarious spleen-venting diatribes on a range of non-televisual subjects - tackling everything from David Cameron to human hair.
Rude, unhinged, outrageous, and above all funny, Dawn of the Dumb is essential reading for anyone with a brain and a spinal cord. And hands for turning the pages.

- "Fabulous, but I am confused"
Belly laughs out loud, on the train. Sniggers at my desk during a quick read over lunch. Guffaws in front of the TV of an evening. The only thing that confused me was that it wasn't about Zombies????

- "Laugh out loud even on death bed"
I wasn't really on my death bed, but I was so sick I couldn't move when this book arrived as a gift from a kind friend. It's terrific stuff, laugh out loud funny. The humour is balanced with a certain amount of wisdom, which stops him from being just an annoying gag-maker. More fun to read on tv since the days when I thought Clive James was funny.

- "Modest would be a understatement"
Being a fan of Charlie Brooker I believed that his follow up book would be great. I was wrong. I got a papercut and it hurt and I couldn't understand the words like the hair bit. I felt dirty after looking at the blurp so I had a bath. Unfortunately I took the book with me and accidently set it on fire. I now want it back as I actually enjoyed it and seemed to over react when I cut my finger on the first page. I regret everything so buy the book and don't burn it
