Tips on choosing and protecting your password:
It is a good idea to choose a password which is easy for you to remember, but is not too personal to you or easy to guess. A good way of doing this is to choose a word and then replace one or more of the letters with numbers e.g. password becomes pa55w0rd. If you think that someone might know your password, change it as soon as possible – find out how to change your password.

See our Privacy Policy for information on how we store and use your details.

Why has my account been disabled?
If you have received an error message whilst attempting to log in informing you that your account has been disabled, this may be because:

An incorrect password has been entered too many times when trying to log in

Your account may have been manually disabled by a member of our team due to a previous payment discrepancy.

It is possible that you previously had more than one active account, which we have merged into one account, leaving the others disabled

If you would like to speak to a member of our team regarding your disabled account, please contact Customer Services on UK: 0845 606 4232 ROI: 00 44 870 836 0749

Address book
Here you can see your billing address and the delivery addresses you have stored. You can choose to edit each address by clicking on the edit button below, or add new addresses by clicking on the ‘add new delivery address’ button (you can also add delivery addresses in your shopping basket). To remove addresses, select the address you’d like to remove and click 'delete'.

Mailing preferences
If you’ve not already opted to receive our email newsletters, you can sign up here. You can also choose to unsubscribe from these at any time.

My bookshelf
Each book you look at on the site has the option to 'add to bookshelf' rather than buy. This means that if you see a title you like, but are not quite ready to make a purchase, you can store it here to come back to at a later date. Please note: Our stock changes on a monthly basis, so some titles may be removed from your bookshelf if they become unavailable. Please also bear in mind that some books might sell out before you return to it – the bookshelf does not reserve you a copy of a book, but is simply a place to store the books you like until you wish to make a purchase.

How to use my bookshelf:
You can add and remove items from your bookshelf at any time. Simply select the item, scroll down to choose the action you'd like to perform and click submit. (You can also use the 'select all' option to select all items in your bookshelf to perform the same action on them all).

My orders
Once you have placed an order with Guardian Books, it is possible to check the progress of your order. You can see all of your orders here, including any which have been placed by post or on the telephone too.

Please see our Order Tracking section for a detailed explanation of how to use the order tracking facility.

Please see our Terms and Conditions for more information.

If your order is overdue and your order tracking account doesn’t state that the order has been despatched, please contact our customer services by calling 0845 606 4232 or using our enquiries form and we will be happy to help trace your order for you.
